Dawn has been a part of Sky Valley since Fall of 2024. She has a background in Medical Assisting and can be found at our Ellensburg office location assisting the midwives with patient care. Additionally, Dawn is a birth assistant for our families having homebirths and birth center deliveries in Yakima County.

A message from Dawn: "Hi I’m Dawn, the new MA in Ellensburg and a new birth assistant. I was asked to give you guys a little info about me. So here we go. I’m a 51-year-old mom of 6 and grandma (Memaw) of 7. I was married and stay-at-home mom for 25 years. At that point I found myself divorced. I decided to go back to school after working for Yakima Watermill for 2 years. 

After finishing MA school I worked for about 8 months at Yakima urology and then moved to urgent care for 2 years. I just got married for the 2nd time this last August to my soulmate Tony who is also in the medical field as a EMT/firefighter as well as the director of emergency services for yakima county. Now here I am working with you wonderful people and I’m so excited and grateful for the support since I’ve been hired. I do still work for  Valley urgent care pier diem, but this is my home and I’m so happy to be here."
